11/20/13

I have been focusing this week on learning about how to overcome fear. There is a form of therapy called "exposure" and it helps 90% of people overcome their fear. That is where the phrase "facing your fears" can from.
Also, fear of death has tried to be avoided by tribes in the past by rituals that describe how dying should be respected and that anyone who has died lived a full life. These practices have been forgotten over the many years. Also, fear of death from Europe used to be distracted by the stories of life in heaven. However, people still dread sinning however, because they are afraid of living in pain for eternal life.
I plan to present a project and surprise the class and see if it scares any of them.

Psychological Study of Fear, 11/8 Entry

This month I am researching fear and how it affects a person. So far I have learned there are more than one kind of fear. For example, Being scared through shock and surprise is different than being afraid about something harmful physically, or mentally. I plan on surprising people to see there reactions and search for similarities, between that and them actually being horrified from being feared for your life.
I am looking forward to learning more about the study of fear.
